Biggest Loser Week 3

I am very sad right now, I really really liked the yellow team. It was so sad to see Jerry go. I can't imagine how hard that decision had to be for them. The silver lining I guess is that Jerry is doing phenomenal at home! I was very impressed to see that he didn't give up. I think Colleen has a chance to be the next Biggest Loser!
Oh and I've come to the conclusion that I'm not a fan of the brown team!

Biggest Loser Week 2!

Wow week 2 strikes again! I really really like the yellow team! I'm so glad they didn't get voted off. I'm very sad for the grey team, but they are kicking but at home! So far I'm not really a fan of the Orange or Brown team, the hubby on the Brown team seems like a bit of an ass! In the end the yellow team I think really needs to be there the most! Can't wait until next week!!

Sugars test results!

Sugars blood tests came back today! Her red blood cell count is up 9% from last week. Still not where the vet would like it to be but it's getting better! She goes back in 2 weeks to get checked again and she doesn't need to be seen unless she has another episode before then! I'm very happy with this news! She's not out of the woods but she's getting back to being the Sugar we know!

Sugar's Check Up!

We took Sugar back to see Dr Michelle today! She's lost about 2oz, but she's got some color back and the Dr says she seems to be doing better! Her spleen doesn't feel any more enlarged then last week. They took some blood and are sending it to the lab for complete CBC, so hopefully tomorrow we'll hear more good news!!
Dr Michelle said the episodes on Thursday night were probably seizures but the fact that she has gotten stronger since then is very good. We're still keeping our fingers crossed but we're much more hopeful this week!!

The Bodai House Divided

Saturday was the one day of the year that the Bodai household is divided. Saturday was the Michigan State v. Notre Dame football game! On this one day a year Greg and I are at odds! (Well it's not really that bad) Luckily he's always a good sport when his team loses!
Which was the case again on Saturday! So until next year I get bragging rights!! Sorry Greg!

A rough night with Sugar!

So we thought sugar was doing really well, she's been eating on her own really well and drinking lots of water. All her bodily functions seemed to be working better. She even barked for the first time in a week last night, granted it wasn't her normal bark but it was something!
Well around 1:30am Greg shot out of bed, he heard sugar making an odd noise. I awoke immediately. we picked her up from where she was laying and she seemed to be having a seizure or stroke. Her head was tilted to one side and that whole side of her body was stiff she was kind of curling up. Her poor little eyes looked so scared. We held her and just kind of massaged her little body until it stopped. This happened 3 times over the course of 45 minutes or so then her breathing got very shallow and her heart slowed down and got very weak. Then all of the sudden she started panting so we gave her a little water through a dropper and that seemed to help. So we took her out of bed to go drink more and she could bearly keep herself up to drink! She calmed back down and went to sleep. Then this morning and all day to day she's been a bit better. She's still not our normal Sugar and I fear she never will be! I just pray that she has some time left! We'll see what happens at the vet on Monday! We weren't able to get in touch with the vet today!

Thank you everyone for you thoughts and prayers! I know you all know how much Suggie means to us and we really appreciate all the love and support! Thank you!

The Biggest Loser!

So what did everyone think of The Biggest Loser tonight? I love this show I always feel so inspired and motivated watching it! I can't imagine how it would have been to be there! If we had been selected to be on The Biggest Loser we would be there taping now so that is why I thought now would be the best time to start my journey to the new me! Today was day two, so far so good!
I would love to hear your comments on the show tonight!! Was everyone else amazed at the biological ages! I wonder what mine would be?

Update on Sugar!

Today is day two of Sugars steroids and she seems to be doing a little bit better! I'm praying they do the job! She is eating a little more, still only from our hands or a suringe but she's not fighting the food anymore! She's got a little more of her normal attitude back! I'm very hopeful the meds are working and she will continue to get better, we'll know more on monday!

Giving Blogging a try!

Ok so this is my effort to keep in touch with friends and family better! I'm totally taking this idea from the wonderful Frandle family, however we may not have a much fun and excitement to share!

So as you all know right now our family consists of Me (Lynn), my hubby Greg, our two chihuahua, Sugar and Tiffy, and cats, Baby and Phantom. We just learned today that Sugar is very sick, which is going to start this blog on a very sad start! We aren't 100% sure what's wrong, we do know that her spleen is enlarged and whatever she has is attacking her red blood cells! We are giving her a steroid and some maximum calorie food, because she's not eating. So we'll take her back in a week and see if this helps, right now I'm just trying to focus on staying positive and hoping this helps! If you know us at all you know that because we don't have babies of our own yet, our dogs are our babies and this is very difficult!

So the other reason for my wanting to start blogging is that today I started a new life style, this is not a diet, I've done that (and been very successful for a while) this time I want to reteach myself how to eat and exercise and control the food and cravings, not let it control me! So through out my journey I will let you know how things are going and if anyone else is going through the same thing I would love to hear from you about your journey, successes and snags!!

So I look forward to keeping in touch better! Till next time!
