26 Weeks!!!

WOW I can't believe I'm already 26 weeks along, only 14 weeks (or 98 days) left before I get to meet my baby boy!!!

Little mister has been very busy practicing his jabs and kicks . It's still very surreal to feel him move around in there. Greg got to feel him move for the first time a couple of weeks ago. That was pretty cool.

We've been very busy working to get the house (especially his room) ready for his arrival, it's going pretty well, almost ready for paint then we can move his furniture in. The Grandparents bought us his crib and dresser/changing table. We are so thankful to all 3 of them for that!!! I can't wait until it all comes together.

Last week brought everyone's favorite glucose tolerance test!! So far no word from the Dr so I gues I don't need to take the 3 hour test. Usually if something is off in my blood they call with in 2 days and it's been a week now so I'm sure they have the results.

Next up on the pregnancy milestone list is the birthing class!! With everything going on with the basement flooding and all we waited a little to long to sign up. So now instead of taking classes where I will deliver we have to go to another hospital and instead of taking the 4 or 6 week course that is once per week, we have no other choice but a weekend crash course, 8 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday!! All of the other classes went past our due date!!
The pictures above are from last week, so I'm just about 25 weeks in them!! But it gives you an idea of how big the baby's getting!!

The Best News in a Long Time!!

On tuesday my mom had her 6 week follow up CT scan. She got the results today and the tumor has shrunk by 1/3 in just 6 weeks!!

They said it is the best resluts they've ever seen at 6 weeks!!!

We are so happy and hopefully at her next check in 3 months it is almost gone or gone!!!'

PS tuesday was also the 17th anniversary of when she had surgery on the lung cancer the first time!!!

A bit of a scare

Little Mister and I ended up in Labor and Delivery Triage yesterday!
In the morning while getting ready for work I had bent down to pick something up off the floor and when I stood up got a little dizzy, so I sat down thinking it would go away. The dizziness did not go away it only got worse, so I laid down, it got even worse. It felt like the room was spinning one way and I was spinning the opposite direction. Then I started to get very sick to my stomach. I finally go up and basically crawled along the wall and on furniture to my phone and called my mommy!! By the way what would we do with out our mom's?

Once I finally got someone at the Dr's office they said go to Labor and Delivery not the ER. At this point I start really freaking out, crying and basically hyperventilating because I don't know what's going on and I figured you don't go to Labor and Delivery until you are in Labor!! Plus the receptionist at the office had a major attitude about it all!!
So once my mom got to the house we went to the hospital where the very nice nurse explained that once you are past 20 weeks you go there instead of the ER in an emergency because they have the proper equipment to monitor the baby!!!

So after some blood tests and hearing little mister's heartbeat we were given the all clear, just have to take it a little slower!!!

Thank god that is over with!!!

Baby's first favorite song!

I don't know if anyone else does or did this while they were pregnant but I love to sing to my little mister, sometimes he'll even move around when we're singing but there is one song that I love to sing to him because I really feel like it says everything I feel about meeting him. When I sing this song to him even if he's been moving around like crazy, he's always very calm and still! I know the song was written about finding a love but I really love the lyrics for talking about what it's like trying to get pregnant! I know how incredibly lucky we were to get pregnant so quickly but those few months when the tests were negative we awful and I feel for anyone that has to go through that for any length of time! Maybe these lyrics will help someone else understand that it will all work out!! As Michael says "I guess it's half timin and the other half's luck"
"Haven't Met You Yet"
Michael Buble
I'm not surprised, not everything lasts
I've broken my heart so many times
I stopped keeping track
Talk myself in,
I talk myself out
I get all worked up then I let myself down
I tried so very hard not to loose it
I came up with a million excuses
I thought, I thought of every possibility
And I know some day that it’ll all turn out
You'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And I promise you kid that I give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet
I might have to wait,
I’ll never give up
I guess it's half timin and the other half's luck
Wherever you are, whenever it's right
You'll come outta nowhere and into my life
And I know that we can be so amazin
And baby your love is gonna change me
And now I can see every possibility
Somehow I know that it’ll all turn out
You'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And promise you kid I'll give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet
They say all’s fair in love and war
But I won’t need to fight it
We'll get it right and we'll be united
And I know that we can be so amazin
And bein in your life is gonna change me
And now I can see every single possibility
And someday I know it'll all turn out
And I'll work to work it out
Promise you kid I’ll give more than I get
Oh you know it'll all turn out
And you'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And promise you kid to give so much more than I get yeah
I just haven't met you yet
I just haven't met you yet
Oh promise you kid to give so much more than I get
I said love love love love love love love
I just haven't met you yet

2nd Ultrasound!

We had our second ultrasound yesterday. Everything went well, he's right on track for size as he should be for is 'age'. He was also much more cooperative this time, they were able to get all the images they needed of his heart which they assured me looked good.

He even waved to us and we got to see him kicking his little feet around like crazy!!! It was so amazing! He really looks like a baby now, no more scary skeletor face! I think he'll be perfect!!

In the top picture you can see almost his whole body, his head is to the left of the photo. The bottom photo is a close up of his face, his hands are both up near his chin.

salsa anyone?

So little mister is really starting to move around. The other night it felt like I was holding salsa class in my belly!! I love feeling the movement now but at first it was really weird!!
